Welcome to Nelson County Youth Soccer Association, where we strive to promote teamwork, physical conditioning, and good sportsmanship.

SPRING Registration Starts
1/10/2025 - 2/8/2025
Late registration: 2/9/2025 - 2/12/2025
Late registration fee: $25
Registration Fees are as follows: (plus $3 GotSport Fee)
U6: $70 Birth Years 2019 & 2020
U8: $80 Birth Years 2017 & 2018
U10: $80 Birth Years 2015 & 2016
U12: $80 Birth Years 2013 & 2014 Coed teams only
U14: $80 Birth Years 2011 & 2012 Coed teams only
Once a player is assigned to a team, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Tentative Recreational Schedule:
Sunday Feb 23rd Coaches MTG on (need someone to secure a location the library is open again)
Gives coaches Feb 24-28th to reach out to families, weekend and then practice begins March 3.
Monday March 3rd U8 & U10 practices begin
Saturday March 15th all games begin Elite & Recreational U8 & U10.
JCYSL -U12 and above teams can begin practicing.
Saturday March 29 & Sunday March 30th off for Spring Break
Monday April 1st- U6 can begin practice (allows for one week or 2 practices before season start)
Saturday April 5th – Opening weekend for JCYSL U12 and above
Opening Weekend for U6 (allows for 6 weekends of games if we want to finish before in house tournament. If we want to stretch into 5/17 weekend we can finish up U6 during tournament weekend, allowing for 7 weekends.
Saturday May 17 & May 18th IN House Tournament Semi- Finals and Finals games. Other games played during the week.
Memorial Day Weekend starts May 24th

Referees can make money doing something they love, and pay can increase with experience.
Refs can start as early as 13 years old.
Referees can be role models for youth in the community.
Referees can gain a greater understanding of the sport they love.

Players and parents are expected to engage in the highest standards of conduct at all “Club-Related Events” (which includes all practices, games, and team travel). By joining the Club, players and parents agree to the following:
Responsibilities of the Parent
Parent agrees to set a good example by modeling the highest standard of sportsmanship.
Parent agrees to maintain a professional relationship with the child’s coach and Program Director and avoid a confrontation immediately following the game.
Parent agrees to wait 24 hours after a Club-Related Event before discussing concerns with the coach or Age Commissioner.
Parent agrees to never criticize a coach or player in a public manner, including through email.
Parent agrees to refrain from using foul language at club events and from abusing, harassing, or berating players, coaches, referees, opponents or spectators.
Parent agrees to refrain from coaching or otherwise instructing players during practices or games.
Parent agrees to use best efforts to have the player on time for training and games.
Parent agrees to stay current on all financial obligations to the Club.
Parent agrees to get involved with the Club and promote the game in a positive way.
Expectations of Behavior
The following behaviors by players or parents will not be tolerated and may be grounds for suspension or dismissal of the player from the Club:
· Repeated failure to meet any of the above-listed responsibilities after having been reminded by a coach or Age Commissioner to do so.
· Any use or possession of an illegal substance at a Club-Related Event.
· Any engagement in an illegal activity at a Club-Related Event.
· Any attempt to purposefully injure, abuse, or haze someone at a Club-Related Event.
If a player or parent engages in any of the above-listed behaviors, the Program Director will determine the appropriate disciplinary action. All decisions to suspend or dismiss a player from the Club for any of the above behaviors will be made in consultation with the Board of Directors and will be final.
