Referees
Kentucky Soccer Families,
It's the time of year we share Thanksgiving for all. To this end, we would also like to give thanks to the referees in our games. Please know we need more and the Winter Classes have begun.
To help facilitate this, we have added Entry Level (Grassroots) courses to become a first-time referee at several locations across the Commonwealth. US Soccer has required us to return to the in-person setting and we are excited to get out there and work with you. To become a referee, you will need to complete some online (at your own pace) prior to the in-person "On Field" session that will take place. The in-person session lasts 3-4 hours and will help demonstrate important skills as you get ready to hit the pitch. Do not miss these opportunities to be a part of the game we all love.
Take a look here for the current schedule Entry-Level Referee Course Schedule that includes several classes in December and January in locations including Lexington, Louisville, and Northern Kentucky. There are also classes in Eastern and Western Kentucky to ensure we take care of everyone!
Being a referee is among the best part-time job anyone can have as you essentially set your hours and can easily make in excess of $20/hr. The minimum age to take the course is 13 years of age. Please consider signing up today...
Details on how to sign up can be found by clicking the link below. In addition to the course fee of $65.00, there is a $30 background check for anyone over the age of 18.
